Mary L. Varner, 79, resident of Selma, passed away May 14, 2013 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Morning Star Church officiated by Rev. B. T. booker. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include one son, Leon W. Varner, Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Varner Shannon; special daughter, Frances P. Neely; two brothers, George Mitchell and Isiah Taylor; one sister, Earlean Simmons; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers-in-laws, one sister-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Beatrice Hatcher, Callie Mennifee, Mary Gosha, Hattie Perkins, and Sohie Ellis.

Pallbearers will be the family.
