Ruby Clara Day, age 89, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away April 8, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur H. Day, Sr.; parents, James and Ruth Clearman and granddaughter, Jenny Day.

Surviving are her children, Billie Joyce (Gilbert) Thistrup. Arthur H. (Donna) Day, Jr., Patsy (Ted) Hicks, Clara Day, Melody (Ronnie) Davis; sisters, Earlen Bearden, Hazel Clearman and Geneva (Bit) Harris; grandchildren, Angie (Darrel1) Cooper, George (Hieu) Thistrup, Edward Day, Heather Martin and Ben (Jessica) Hicks and great-grandchildren, Clint (Hannah) Cooper, Dillan (Lori) Cooper, Bryson Thistrup, Kallie Martin, Cooper Martin, Bella Martin and Waylon Hicks.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Selma Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Dr.. Cecil Williamson, Rev. Tim Clearman and Rev. George Birchler officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Clint Cooper, Dillan Cooper, Edward Day, Ben Hicks, John Coon, James Bearden and Darrell Cooper.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.
