ORRVILLE —Two unidentified males robbed the Dollar General at 14344 Main Street in Orrville at gunpoint Sunday night.

According to Sgt. Mike Grantham with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, the incident took place just before closing — sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 8:50 p.m.

“It was two people. One of them had on a red zipper hoodie and dark pants, they wore bandanas and hoods over their heads,” Grantham said. “Both of them appear to be black males, and both of them had handguns.”

The suspects robbed the cashier of an undisclosed amount of money.

Grantham said the suspects were caught on video and the cashiers who witnessed the robbery have given witness.

“The two cashiers in the store, they gave us a good description and actually they gave us a good description of a car as well,” Grantham said.

The sheriff’s department said they received the call just after the suspects left. Grantham said the cashiers described the suspects’ vehicle as a light to medium color and looked like what appeared to be a Chevrolet Impala or an “Impala-like” vehicle.

The two suspects are still unaccounted for and Grantham said they should be considered armed and dangerous.

“We still don’t know who they are. We are still looking for them, and we’re following leads now,” he said. “One of them had a distinct limp to his leg. He was definitely limping. They were both tall, one was about 5-feet, 11-inches and the other one was 6-feet. Both were around 150 to 160 pounds.”
