Betty Ruth Rose Johnston, 80 years old, resident of Foley, AL went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Oct. 9, 2012. She was born in Rehoboth, AL on July 29, 1932 to loving parents Jessie Leroy and Helen Hicks Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Roy Rose, a son John “Johnny” David Johnston and grandsons Robert and Billy Johnston. Surviving her is her loving devoted husband of 64 years Marvin William Johnston, son Marvin William “Bill” Johnston, Jr., daughter Debra Ann Shah, sisters Lois Smith, Ann Glass and a brother Walter Rose. Grandchildren William Shane Brown, Nathan Roy Brown, Natalie Ruth Drumm, Amish Satish Shah, Stephanie Jean Richards, Jonelle Straube, John Johnston, Jr., Connie and Dianna Johnston. She has eighteen great grandchildren one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a Celebration Service at Christian Life Church, 14965 Highway 59, Foley, AL Saturday October 13th at 11:00. 251-943-7316

Betty was an avid lover of music, flowers, birds, fishing, traveling and painting. She loved to cook, entertain and take care of others. She helped organize the annual Camden High School reunion for years. She never met a stranger and would be your friend for life. With a heart bigger than life she will be missed by all.
