Mrs. Emma W. Harris, 81, resident of Dallas County, Selma, passed away October 5, 2012 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for October 13, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Raymond Brown. Burial will follow in The Harris Family Cemetery directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by spouse Deacon Lawrence Lee Harris; parents Willie and Lena Williams; son, Richard Lee Harris.

She is survived by sons,Eddie (Gloria) Williams, Johnny (Joyce) Harris of Selma, AL, David (Bessie) Stevenson, Montgomery, AL, Sam (Sandra) Harris, Boston, MA.; twelve daughters, Lillie Tolbert, Beatrice Jackson, Mary McGee, Angela Harris, Lena (Calvin) Blake, Gladys (Charles) Grayson, Melissa Harris , Joyce Harris all of Selma, Lucy (Willie) Johnson of Taylor, Michigan, Gloria (George) Effinger, Killeen, Texas, Linda Davis, Atlanta, GA., and Lelia (Jackie) Edward, Huntsville, AL; brother, Daniel Jackson SR.; thirty four grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
