We encourage all to attend fair

Residents came out in crowds for the opening night of the Central Alabama Fair. And why wouldn’t they? The fair offers the perfect family atmosphere filled with fun and entertainment for all ages.

Weather it’s riding the Ferris wheel, trying to stay on the bull, getting dizzy on the Scrambler or devouring a delicious Cozy Dog, the fair offers a good time for all who attend.

And the best part about the fair is that almost all the proceeds go right back in to the community to make Selma a better place.

The fair is exactly what Selma, and any small community like Selma needs.

It draws out-of-towners and gets people excited about our Black Belt community. It also displays Selma in a positive light by encouraging good community fellowship. It’s no wonder the line was wrapped around the gates to the Old Armory to purchase tickets.

So, if you didn’t attend the fair Monday night, we encourage everyone to take a night off and come out for a good time, you won’t regret it. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
