The event costs $50 for up to two adults to enter, which includes complimentary food and a one-year membership to the AWF for you or your guest.

The event is free for all those who have entered a cook team to compete in the contest, while all youth under 15 will be able to attend the event free of charge as well.

In addition to the tasty food on display, the event will feature music, door prizes, raffles and a silent auction that includes outdoor themed art prints, other outdoor items and plenty of other vendors with items for all in attendance.

There will be three different divisions on display for those competing and for your tasting preferences—a Fish Division, a Fowl Division and a Game Division.

Awards will be presented to Best Overall, Best Presentation, a first, second and third place winner in each division and a People’s Choice Award.

Some last-minute sponsorships may still be available. You can call Heather Buesinger at 334-285-4550 to check on those or get more information.

The AWF holds these cook-offs across Alabama each year between the spring and fall seasons with Selma being one of the popular destinations each year.
