FROM STAFF REPORTS
SELMA – United Way of Selma and Dallas County is proud to kick off its annual campaign, rallying support for a powerful network of 15 local agency partners and direct service programs that uplift the most vulnerable members of our community.
This year’s campaign shines a spotlight on impactful initiatives like the Doc On The Spot free clinic, which continues to provide essential medical care to uninsured and underserved residents.
In addition to ongoing health and human services, United Way is also recognizing the extraordinary work of its disaster recovery partners.
Over the past two and a half years, United Way has been a part of efforts to rebuild and repair homes damaged by the tornado that struck in 2023, helping families regain stability and security. These efforts have restored not just structures, but hope—one home at a time.
“Our partners and programs are the heartbeat of this community,” said Jeff Cothran United Way Director]. “Whether it’s a person receiving care at Doc On The Spot or a family returning to a safe home after a storm, every dollar raised fuels real change.”
Community members are encouraged to get involved by donating, volunteering, or spreading the word. Together, we can build a healthier, more resilient future for all.
