Gallery 905 invites the public to a special reception on Thursday, July 10 at 5:30 p.m. celebrating the opening of Jon Osborne’s exhibition, “I’ve Seen That Face Before (Libertango).” The event is free and open to all.

Osborne, a Birmingham-based artist, creates colorful, expressive works inspired by music and shaped by his experience with synesthesia—a condition that allows him to see sound as color. After suffering a traumatic brain injury in 2019, Osborne turned to art as a tool for healing and has since become a passionate advocate for the therapeutic power of creativity.

His work has been featured at exhibitions across the United States, including the Kentuck Festival, where he has been a Guest Artist since 2023, and Magic City Art Connection, where he received the prestigious Joe Piper Award of Distinction.

The reception will offer guests the opportunity to meet the artist, view the exhibition, and experience a unique fusion of music and visual art in the heart of downtown Selma.
