There will be a candidate forum on Monday and Tuesday at the Walton Theater that is inviting all Selma candidates for mayor, city council and the school board.

The Community Forum, which is sponsored by the Coalition of Concerned Families, will begin at 5:30 p.m. both nights with a “mix and mingle with the candidates” time.

At 6 p.m. on June 30, Wards 1, 3, 5 and 7 will have a forum while the forum for Wards 2, 4, 6 and 8 begins at 7:05 p.m. Afterward at 8 p.m., there will be another time to mix and mingle with the candidates. Election Day is Tuesday, Aug. 26.

On Tuesday, July 1, at 6 p.m., the candidates for the City Council president and Selma school board will take the stage of the forum followed by the mayoral candidates at 7:05 p.m.

They will also have the same mix and mingle times before and after the forums at 5:30 and 8 p.m.
