Game 5 of the Rolling Youth Flag Football League was a perfect example of what sportsmanship is about. Players had the opportunity to show what they were made of as they took to the field last Saturday.
While many were watching the unpredictable skies, Coach Williams was coaching his team to a 12-6 victory. The game was intense from beginning to end, with both teams pushing hard and matching each other play for play. Every pass, every run, and every flag pull was full of energy and determination.
“This is more than just flag football for me,” said Coach Williams. “We have the opportunity to make a real impact on these kids’ lives. They’re developing skills and confidence that they’ll carry with them forever.”
Several shared their sadness about the season winding down, a sign of just how much the league has meant to them.
The date for the final game of the season has been changed and will be announced soon.
League Standings: Titans 2-0, Falcons 1-1, Texans 2-0, Jaguars 1-1
*Combined team games don’t count toward season rankings*
