Jacqueline D. Montgomery of Cincinnati, Ohio, entered into rest on February 12, 2025. Jacqueline was born in Selma, Alabama on August 31, 1944, the second child of Jerry David Montgomery, Sr., who passed away in 1995 and Annie Willie Spivey Montgomery, who passed away in 2009. Her brother, Jerry David Montgomery, Jr. preceded her in death in 2007.
Jacqueline received a B.S. degree in Chemistry at Tuskegee University, an M.S. degree in Chemistry at Purdue University, and in Library Science at the University of Southern California, as well as a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science at Florida State University.
Her professional career was spent in scientific research, management of science, and technical information functions; teaching and instruction. She worked for Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati, Ohio for 25 years as well as working in their European technical center as a Senior Information Scientist in Brussels, Belgium.
She loved to travel, specifically going on her Silversea cruises. Her independent spirit, intellect, curiosity, perseverance, and love of reading took her to 99 different countries.
Later in life, she connected with half-siblings from her father’s side. Her half-brother, Bernard (Harriet) Thomas, preceded her in death, and she is survived by her half-sister, Andrea (Marcus) Durr.
Jacqueline is survived by several beloved cousins, relatives, and friends.
