Despite the cloudy skies earlier in the day, the energy on the field didn’t suffer as the teams competing in the Rolling. Youth Flag Football League battled it out on the field.
“It is fun and exciting to watch the children experience something positive and new in our area. Being a coach has been an amazing experience and I look forward to more wins.,” said head coach John Sallie, who’s Titans defeated the Jaguars in a double overtime victory of 25-23 in the Rolling Youth Flag Football League on May 17. “To see the older children helping the younger players is inspiring.”
In the second game of the evening, the Texans showcased their skill and determination as they faced the Falcons. Both teams performed with heart and determination throughout the game, but Texans managed to secure the win with a final score of 24-18.
The emotional highs and powerful lessons in teamwork were evident throughout both games. Witnessing the community’s unity despite the weather conditions underscored the significance of youth sports. These moments are not just about shaping athletes; they are about building character and creating memories that will last a lifetime for these young players.
In honor of Memorial Day weekend, there will not be a game this Saturday, May 24. The season will continue with Game 3 on Saturday, May 31. The Texans (1-0) will face the Jaguars (0-1), while the Titans (1-0), will take on the Falcons (0-1).
