Eddie Robinson Jr. departed this life and entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at his home in Pike Road, AL., with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Inez Crosby and Robert Stringer; and paternal grandparents, Edward “Eddie” Robinson and Rebecca Martin; and daughter, Africhinae Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Minister Carolyn Moore Robinson; his children, Antoine “Yaisa” Robinson, Maplesville, AL and  Destinee R. “Eric” Hawkins of Pike Road, AL; grandchildren, Jasmine, Shemar, Dr. Unique, Ajala, Cameron, Erin, Sariyah; great-grandchildren, Justice, Jessie “Duke” Jr., and Aris Chinae; siblings, Willie James “Maxine” Robinson, Centerville, GA, Willie Mae Robinson, and Barbara Jean Robinson, Selma, AL; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Smith, Mobile, AL and Lillian M. “Charles” Mitchell, Stockbridge, GA; uncles, Jimmie Robinson, North Carolina, Elder Robert Stringer, Jr., Pinson, AL, Mack “Ruby” Stringer, Lawrence Dunbar Stringer, Birmingham, AL, and Jerome “Sonya” Stringer, Jemison, AL; aunts, Naomi Kellum and Ruth  Stringer, California; nephews, Willie James “Nellie” Fredericksburg, VA, Bryon Smith, Curtis Smith, Jermaine Smith, and Matthew Mitchell, Stockbridge, GA;  nieces, Deloria “Calvin” Gilchrist, Snellville, GA, Nefertari “Courtney” Watts, Locust Grove, GA, Marlo Robinson, Centerville, GA, Towana Robinson, Locust  Grove, GA, Ebony Robinson, Pelham, AL, Marcia Mitchell, Stockbridge, GA, Mallorie Robinson, Atlanta, GA, Zandra Pernell, Selma, AL, and Melanie “Ace”  Hobdy, Enterprise, AL; adopted brother, Chapman “Carolyn” Smith; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 1548 Dr. F.D. Reese St., Selma, AL. Rev. James Perkins, Jr. officiating. Interment in Serenity Memorial Gardens, 4660 Water Ave., Selma.
