The following persons were booked into the Dallas County Jail between April 29 through May 1. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.  

• Deldrick Wendal Shelton, 19, arrested April 29 by the Selma Police Department at 1300 Alabama Ave, discharging gun into unoccupied building or vehicle x 5 counts, $150,000 bond. 
• Kourtney Bell, 38, arrested April 30 by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department at County Road 37, possession of controlled substance, $10,000 bond, possession of marijuana second degree, $6,000 bond.
• Johnny Lee Howard, 60, arrested April 30 by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department at 1905 First Ave., violation of parole, no bond.
• Edward Allen Jones, 59, arrested May 1 by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department at 102 Church St., criminal trespass, harassment x 2 counts, $3,000 bond.
• David Bernard Walker, 56, arrested May 1 by the Selma Police Department at 1300 Alabama Ave., burglary third degree, $15,000 bond.
• Vanely Jaleel Effinger, 33, arrested May 1 by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department between Lapsley Street and Dallas Avenue, promoting prison contraband second degree, possession of marijuana second degree, public intoxication, $13,000 bond. Theft of property first degree, $15,000 bond.
• Jeremiah Jonathan Brown, 23, arrested May 1 by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department at the Montgomery Police Department, assault first degree x 3 counts, $90,000 bond.
• Tiekia Thompson, 24, arrested May 1 by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department at 11 Dallas Ave., resisting arrest, $1,000 bond.
