The event is intended to foster “an important and eye-opening” conversation on how race and geography impact healthcare in the Selma and across the Black Belt.

Topics include:

• Why Black people in the Black Belt are dying at higher rates from cancer.

• How healthcare access differs for Black vs. white communities.

• What we can do together to close the gap.

The event is part of Stillman College’s Black Belt Health Equity Initiative sponsored in part of Pfizer around the believe that everyone deserves quality health care.
