By Austin Bishop

10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord. 11 They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”

13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Fear can rob us of our hope and our promises. What God promised you is always more powerful than what you perceive.

Those who don’t truly understand the heart of God submit themselves to their circumstances and become overwhelmed by the natural. We must remember that where we see eminent destruction, God sees a rescue.

The spirits that spark dissatisfaction with God’s plan for your life and manifest themselves as whining, complaining, and rebellion against God’s heart and vision for you are evil and are attempting to hijack your victory.

Faith leads to trust, trust leads to reliance upon God, and reliance upon God leads to victory. Standing your ground in adversity shows faith in God. Standing upon the promises of God our Savior truly changes the atmosphere of the battle.

Longing fo go back to where you have been is short-sighted and lacks faith. Satan attempts to deceive us into believing the “safe place” he imprisons us in is for our own good. The enemy wants you to be comfortable with what has always been and not to expect any more out of life than you already have.

Your visionless comfort zone will spin a trap of spiritual laziness, low expectations of God Himself, and doubt in your own relationship with Him. Embracing God’s truths allows you to walk in the supernatural nature of His promises.

There is much power and wisdom in verse 14. There are times where God sends us into war and other times where he instructs to stand back and let Him be who He is.

The more you grasp what God has and will do in your life, the more your faith will take you to a deeper spiritual place than you have ever been.
