Selma Times-Journal announces Easter Contest winners

4-6 winner: Tallinn Woods, 6, was the winner of the 4-6-age group.
10-12 winner: Nana Alexander, 10, was the winner of the 10-12 age group.
7-9 winner: Derrick Cowan, 9, was the winner of the 7-9- age group..

The Selma Times-Journal has selected its winners for its annual Easter coloring book contest.
Nala Alexander, 10, was the winner of the 10- to 12-year-old age group.
Derrick Cowan, 9, was the winner of the 7- to 9-year-old age group.
Taylynn Woods, 6, was the winner of the 4- to 6-year-old age group.
The annual contest was sponsored by Randall Miller Funeral Home and Crematory. The Flower Basket arranged the Easter baskets for each winner.
The baskets were awarded on Thursday.
“We are so thankful to each of our schools for participating in this contest. We have some outstanding artists here in Selma and Dallas County,” said publisher Brent Maze. “Our judges had a very hard time deciding on our winners. I would like to congratulate these three students for their outstanding work during the contest.”
