Starting Friday, the Historic U.S. Hwy. 80 Sale is back in the queen city, marking its 51st year in business.

The sale will start at 7 a.m. and conclude at 7 p.m. on both Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19, at Angie’s Auction located on 4094 County Road 44 in Selma, according to Bo Morgan, host of the Selma area.

“What people can see out here during the sale, is outdoor furniture, stuff made of cast iron, including old tools and just any and everything,” Morgan said. “Right now, I have about 20 vendors and I’m maxed out, that’s all I can hold.”

Morgan said with the current vendors, Angie’s Auction meets full capacity and he said with the event’s hours being set from “Sunrise to Sundown” both days, it provides workers within the community to have time to shop as well.

“A lot of people have to work and if they get off work at three or four o’clock, they still have time to come out,” Morgan said. “They can come shop for about two or three hours with us and  we open early because some of them come shop with us before they go to work at nine o’clock. So, our hours work for our customers.”

Morgan said the admission for the sale is free, and prices of items during the event can range from $1 up to $3,000.

Morgan said he would like those who come out to buy everything that they can.
