Last week, construction crews were out at the Selma Flea and Farmers Market restoring multiple areas of the market including the D-Wing area after being damaged by a severe windstorm that took place in early March.

Ryan Wilson, who is a partner of The Selma Flea and Farmers Market, said every structure that was impacted by the storm, provided for vendors at the market, is currently being rebuilt and that all construction should be completed by the May 3 celebration.

“So we’re having a big grand reopening on May 3rd from 5 a.m. until 2 p.m., which is on a Saturday, where all vendor tables will be free for the day. We will have food trucks and stuff out there as well,” Wilson said.

Currently, the market’s A-wing, F-wing and main aisle areas are open for those to rent each Saturday, and the B-wing and C-wing areas are blocked off until after construction is done.
