The City of Selma is going to take time on Saturday to pray for the city.
The Selma Team Outreach Ministry & Prayer (S.T.O.M.P.) will be meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, on Montague Street behind Edgewood Elementary School at 709 Highland Avenue to call on God.
“This is a special opportunity for people of all faiths to come together in unity to pray for our community’s needs,” Annie Towns, founder of S.T.O.M.P., said. “Let’s lift our voices in prayer for our families, leaders and the future of Selma. Everyone is welcome.”
This is a part of an ongoing time of prayer that started many years ago.
“For those who do not know, the mayor and city council of Selma presented S.T.O.M.P. with a resolution and proclamation in 2022,” Towns said. “It was proclaiming the first Saturday in October as a City-Wide Day of prayer led by S.T.O.M.P. Let’s unite in prayer for Orville, Valley Grande and Selma.”
