On Saturday, The Selma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority hosts its annual leadership luncheon at The Selma Convention Center, starting at 11 a.m. to bring homage to two members of the past within the organization known as Margaret Moore and Ms. Amelia Boynton Robinson.
Both women throughout the organization were looked upon as chartering and honorary members who were trailblazers, icons, heroines of the past that has paved the way for contemporary women of the present who embrace and implement the same principles, according to the Selma Alumnae Chapter of DST.
Two extraordinary women of the Selma community known as Kimberly Smitherman and Dr. CeCe Grayson will be honored within the Boynton-Robinson and Margaret Moore Leadership Awards Saturday for their exemplary service and efforts to lead.
