Crash shuts down Highland Avenue

A multi-vehicle crash occurred Wednesday afternoon on Highland Avenue in front of Family Dollar and across the street from the Cougar Oil Gas station near the Broad Street intersection.
The crash appeared to involve a tractor-trailer and a van among other vehicles. The condition of any victims in the crash is not known at this time.
Selma firefighters were cleaning up glass and debris from the crash after the vehicles were loaded onto wreckers. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Selma Police Department with traffic control as several lanes of traffic were closed due to the crash.
The crash is under investigation by the Selma Police Department that took place.
