The 33rd annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee commemorating the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday was held Sunday, March 9, 2025. Marchers began the pilgrimage at Brown Chapel, and the crowd gathered at the foot of the Edmund Pettus Bridge to prepare for the march over the Alabama River at noon.

Foot soldiers led the way in front elected officials while the rest of the marchers followed behind. They continued to march past the bridge until they reached the point where the foot soldiers were attacked 60 years ago.

They took a moment to pray, and then marchers rallied as speakers, including Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell, U.S. Rep. Shomari Figures and others, joined Faya Rose Toure and Co-Director Ainka Jackson for the event.
