Oliver’s quadruple double paces Selma against Montevallo

The Selma girls basketball team took care of business in the semifinal round of the Class 5A, Area 5 tournament Monday night.
The Lady Saints took down the Lady Bulldogs 76-18 to advance to the championship game. They will take on Jemison for the area title on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Selma High School.
The winner will get to host sub-regionals while the runner-up will have to travel in the first round of the playoffs.
The game was highlighted by Jy’Kierra Oliver’s quadruple double. She finished with 27 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists, 12 steals and four blocks in the win.
Rod’Neshia Parker led all scorers with 29 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and four assists. Safiya White also had 14 points, four rebounds and three blocks while Shamiyah Blake had six points and 11 rebounds.
