The Alabama Singing Women will make two stops in Selma on Veteran’s Day weekend.
The quintet of Debbie Anderson, Reagan Cothran, Beth Watters, Sarah Jean McAteer, and Kent Woodruff will appear on Sunday at Elkdale Baptist Church’s 8:30 a.m. service and at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church’s 10:30 a.m. service.
” I am so happy to be a part of the Alabama Singing Women,” Anderson said. “This group is made up of women involved in their church music programs from around the state of Alabama. Our aim is to always share the story of Christ through music wherever we go. We welcome them to Selma. ”
The group formed 21 years ago through the Alabama Baptist Convention and has made an annual tour each year since its inception. The group of over 60 ladies is comprised of singers from all over the state.
At 5:30 p.m. the group will do a concert at Siloam Baptist Church in Marion.
