Law Enforcement Appreciation Day will be held Thursday at the Dallas County Administration building.

The event is headed by former Selma City Councilwoman Susan Youngblood, who appeared at the Selma City Council and Dallas County Commission meetings for support. Youngblood said all checks should be made to the Blackbelt Benefit Group.

Youngblood said that Selma and Dallas County residents should appreciate the Selma Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and ALEA.
