Robert Wayne Smith, 74, of Oakland passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in Oakland. He was born January 27, 1949, in Demopolis, Alabama to James and Betty (Crenshaw) Smith. Wayne was an avid horseman that loved the outdoors, especially a good campfire. He was a member of the Bar None Cowboy Church. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Smith.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Wanda Smith of Oakland; a son, Robert Wesley Smith of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; a daughter, Casey Ellen Salazar of Tupelo, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Tanner Cary, Walker Cary, Connor Smith and Jordan Smith; a sister, Dyanne Steele of Selma, Alabama and many more family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the family’s home, 209 Winters Lane, Oakland, AR 72661.
