Lady Hornets dominate Lady Bears

Ansley Eiland drove in four runs on three hits to lead the Dallas County Lady Hornets past the Keith Lady Bears 20-4 on Wednesday. Eiland drove in runs in the first, a triple in the second, and a home run in the fourth. The Lady Hornets earned the victory despite allowing the Keith to score four runs in the third inning. Keith’s big inning was driven by a triple by Richardson, a single by Audrey Lumpkin, and a double by Adasia Atkins. In the first inning, Dallas County got their offense started. Shikeria Fails singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run. LiDonna Woods was in the circle for Dallas County. Woods allowed eight hits and four runs over four innings, striking out two. Ja’Kayla Moore was the opposition for Dallas County in the circle. Moore surrendered 16 runs on eight hits over three innings, striking out four. Janiyah King threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. The Lady Hornets tallied ten hits in the game. Eiland and Mar’Tasia Hardy each managed multiple hits for Dallas County. The Lady Hornets didn’t commit a error in the field. Kendall Browder led the Lady Hornets with two stolen bases. As a team they had a combined seven stolen bases. Keith racked up eight hits in the game. Atkins and Lakia Smith each had multiple hits for Keith. Atkins went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Lady Bears.
