An Orrville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that Elbert Able, 69, was fatally injured after being struck by the 1992 Chevrolet C1500 pickup driven by Thomas E. Johnson Jr., 52, also an Orrville resident. Able was in the roadway at the time of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m. Saturday on Dallas County 31, about four miles south of Orrville.

No further details are available as Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate the accident.
