The Selma Police Department is investigating a shooting where a man was shot on Saturday near the club Good Vibes.

Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford identified the victim as Trent Woods, who Selma Police Department officers found with several gunshot wounds.

“Selma Police Department received a call in reference to shots being fired in the area of Good Vibes,” Fulford said. “Upon arrival of the SPD, officers heard shots being fired inside the establishment. After making entry into the club officers discovered Trent Woods on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds.”

Woods was transported to the Vaughn Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.

No further details are available and the case remains under investigation by the SPD.
