Stillman College is celebrating its annual Homecoming this weekend on campus.

We have several Stillman College alumni that live in Selma or Dallas County. Some are planning to attend an event or two Friday or Saturday.

One of them is Selma Times-Journal Managing Editor James Jones, who has called Selma home since the spring of 2018. He graduated from Stillman in 1992.

Keith High School Principal Tommy Tisdale Jr. will bring his popular barbecue business, Tisdale’s Backyard BBQ, to campus whenever it’s homecoming. Tisdale and his wife, LaTonia, Tisdale, also graduated from Stillman College.

Tisdale’s spicy meats have the same effect in Tuscaloosa as it does in Dallas County, delicious and mouth-watering.

Zella Ford, a longtime teacher in Dallas County Schools System, is a 1992 graduate of Stillman College.

Last year’s graduates of Stillman College from Selma and Dallas County were Tyriq Fells, Dorian McWilliams and Anthony Kemp of Selma and Shelby Boswell of Valley Grande.

We’re proud that some of the Stillman College alums call Selma and Dallas County home.
