The City of Valley Grande held its annual Christmas in the Park on Sunday at  Valley Grande Walking Trail.

Despite the rain, over 100 kids came out and enjoyed elves, Santa Claus, and the Grinch.

Christmas music played as the kids ran around the pavilion to enjoy their time.

Kids young and old stood in line to get the opportunity to take a picture with the elves, Santa, and the Grinch.

The event is put on by the City of Valley Grande each year and is something that  Valley Grande Councilwoman Sara Day said is important for the community.

“We are a small town,” Day said. “That being said, it’s nice for us to be able to provide these things for our citizens and let them enjoy the park and everything. It’s very important for us to do things like this for our community.”
