A Selma man is charged with murder from a shooting on Monday evening.

According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Javoris Ladson, 23, is charged with the murder of Qwadevine Walker, 23. Jackson said that the fatal shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. Monday on the 300 block of Gaines Avenue.  According to both the SPD and Jackson, Walker was shot multiple times during the incident, taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

SPD and Jackson both said the motive of the shooting is currently unknown .

Ladson is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail on a $1.5 million bond. Jackson said Ladson will get arraigned in the next couple of days.
