Southside gave its playoff hopes a boost with a 52-30 win over Greensboro on Thursday night.

Southside 52, Greensbooro 30:  The Panthers (4-3, 3-2) won its third straight.

Derick Smith scored two touchdowns. Roosevelt Towns III scored two touchdowns and five two-point conversions. Ernie Campbell ran for a touchdown.

Sweetwater 45, Keith 0: The ninth-ranked Bulldogs (4-2, 4-1) jumped out to an early lead and cruised past the Bears (3-4, 3-2) in a battle for second place in Region 3, Class 1A.

Keith must win its final Region game to have a shot at hosting a playoff game.

Hale County 21, Dallas County 12: Daveon Jones and Isaiah Tills scored the only touchdowns for the Hornets (1-6, 1-4 Region 3, Class 4A) on Homecoming at Martin Field in Plantersville.

Ezekiel Academy 47, Meadowview Christian School 0: The winless Trojans fell to 0-8, losing on the road.
