Darren Lamar Norfleet, 37 of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Darren was born in Demopolis, Alabama. He graduated from South High School, Class of 2003 in Worcester and has lived there most of his life. He worked various positions among his career most recently as a security guard at 3 G’s. Darren loved football especially flag football and cooking. He was very outgoing, social, and enjoyed spending time going out with friends and family to have a good time. Darren’s especially loved hanging out with his children whether it was watching movies, going to their basketball games or watching crime documentaries.
Darren is survived by his six children, Jeziah Norfleet, Jquan Norfleet, Jamohnny Norfleet, twins, Jizay and Zinay Norfleet and Jhamir Norfleet all of Worcester; the mother of his children, Zina Collins of Worcester; his mother, Mary Lee Norfleet of Worcester; his father, Darren Olds of Alabama; a brother, Anthony Norfleet and his significant other, Raven Delgado of Worcester; his maternal grandmother, Anna Mae Norfleet of Alabama; paternal grandmother, Martha Holt of Alabama; four siblings, Alexandria Cobb, Ken Howard, twins Deandre and Deandrew Olds all of Alabama; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by a daughter, Daraliz Miracle Rose Norfleet and his maternal grandfather, Rev. Bright Norfleet.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 9-11 am with his funeral service to begin at 11:00 am in Emmanuel Baptist, 717 Main St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
