The church canceled the fundraiser in 2020 due to the pandemic, and only served to-go orders in 2021, but this year patrons will have their choice of two seatings – 6 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. Takeout is still available, but organizers encourage visitors to choose one of the two seating options and enjoy the fellowship that comes with eating with your friends and neighbors.

“We hope everybody will stay safe and come and see us,” said Lobsterfest Chairperson Manera Searcy. “With two seatings, people will have more time to socialize and it makes the evening a little earlier for everybody.”

Individual tickets are $40 for takeout, and $45 for dine-in, and organizers are offering a limited number of corporate tables that seat 8 [$400] or 10 [$500]. Corporate table sponsors will enjoy recognition in promotion and publicity of the event, and corporate table guests will receive an extra drink ticket [wine/ beer/ soft drinks].

In addition to lobster, guests will receive a salad, dessert, and all the “fixins.” There will also be musical entertainment, and beverages offered for 15 minutes prior to each sitting.

Searcy said proceeds from the event would be invested in renovating the Gamble House, which formerly housed Little Friends. Once renovated, the church will use the house as an outreach center that will serve a variety of different purposes in service to the community.
