Meadowview Christian School was the last Dallas County to open the 2022-23 school year.  The first full day at MCS was Monday.

Schools began opening two weeks ago with the Dallas County School system . Selma City Schools followed suit and then Morgan Academy.

This also goes to the teachers and administrators who reside in Dallas County working in other counties.

Some of us are not accustomed to schools starting this early. For some of us, schools usually began either the last week of August or the day after Labor Day.

We enjoyed seeing groups like the Kiwanis Club of Selma and Dallas County, the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum welcome the kids and teachers back to school.

The teachers, students appreciate it and so do we.
