A two-story house on Selma Avenue burned down on Monday morning.

The Selma Fire Department responded to the call around 8:30 a.m. Monday morning and they quickly worked to contain the fire on the block of 717 Selma Avenue.

Selma Fire Department Investigator Aeneas Pettway said the immediate investigation calls the incident a structural fire, but added that it’s too early to speculate what caused the fire.

Pettway also said there were no injuries from the fire as members of the SFD took items such as clothes from the burned home.
