The City of Valley Grande will host its annual Independence Day Fireworks Show a day before the Fourth of July holiday.

The Independence Day Fireworks show will be held on Sunday, July 3 at 9 p.m. behind the Valley Grande ballfield at the Intersection of County Road 16 and Highway 22.

Valley Grande City Councilwoman Sara Day, who’s in charge of the Walking Trail and Community Events, expects a strong turnout.

“We invite everyone to come out,” Day said.

At the recent Valley Grande City Council meeting, Valley Grande Mayor said he is looking forward to the event.

Day said that Snow cones and soft serve ice cream will be sold by various vendors before the fireworks.

The fireworks will be produced by Pyro Productions, formerly known as J&M Displays.
Last year’s fireworks show was a success, producing an overflow crowd from residents in Valley Grande and Selma.
