A Montgomery woman died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash last weekend in Dallas County.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Samantha R. Burt, 20, was seriously injured when the 2009 Nissan Maxima she drove left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned around 2:50 a.m. on April 30. The crash occurred on U.S. 80 near the 96 mile marker, in Dallas County.

Burt was ejected and transported to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, where on Wednesday, she succumbed to her injuries. Burt was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash.

No more details are available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
