“Selma University, not unlike other historically Black Colleges and Universities, was founded on the belief that everyone deserves access to higher education, ‘’ Kimber said.

“But Selma is unique, because of its biblical focus and mission to train leaders in Christian theology. Considering the prominent and historical role that the Black Church has within the African American experience, I am honored to sow this gift to help the college to further its mission.”

Selma University President Stanford Angion said the school appreciates Kimber presenting a gift.

“We’re very grateful for donors like Dr. Boise Kimber, this gift will help us further our mission to prepare servant leaders both home and abroad,” Angion said.
