The Selma Housing Authority is sponsoring the picnic and egg hunt, Grayson said.

Several pastors are scheduled to speak at the program, which participants are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs.

“Jesus died for us and is resurrected from the dead,” Grayson said.

Grayson also said that Easter Sunday will mark the end of his expectation series. Grayson spent the last three weeks building expectations, having faith in expectations and the power of divine expectations.

“Easter Sunday is the greatest expectation anyone can have,” Grayson said. “Without Jesus, there are no expectations. Material things will fade, but Jesus won’t fade.”

Selma Church of God will have a program, “He still pours into broken vessels, Jesus is the Passover.

“It’s a teaching about how the truth of Christ is in the Passover,” Selma Church of God Pastor Jon Chappelle said.
