Michael David Harris, 62, of Franklin, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his home February 23, 2022 after an extended battle with health issues resulting from a previous injury. Mike was born on March 17, 1959 to Vernon C. and Viva Duncan Harris in Selma, . He attended Dallas County High School and G. C. Wallace State Community College. He spent the majority of his career as a structural design specialist with American Lumber Company. During his youth, Mike excelled in athletics as a football and baseball player. He was an avid hunter and crappie fisherman as well as a very proud, lifelong fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mike is survived by his loving wife Cindy Worley Harris; son Michael Garrett Harris; daughters Amber Nicole Harris-Lay and Olivia Marie Anderson; grandchildren Seanah Nicole Smedley, Isabella Jewel Lay, Steven Paul Anderson, Payton Christopher Anderson, and Mary Elizabeth Pearl Anderson; brothers Randy (Joanna) Harris and Jeff Harris; sister Susan (Bobby) Autrey; a long list of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members; and lifelong friends. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held April 23, 2022 at 2 p.m  at Meredith’s Landing in Orrville, Alabama with Reverend Henry LeVert officiating. All family and friends are welcome. Mike’s family has requested that in lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
