Patricia Bennett Smith, age 80 of Selma, passed away on Monday, March 7,2022 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Suttle, on July 28, 1941 to the late Clifton and Clara Belle Melton Bennett.

She was part owner of Smith Fire Protection.

She is survived by her children, Charles D. Smith Jr., Donald Chandler Smith, Mary Diane Lee and Daniel Wayne (Sherri) Smith; 15 Grandchildren; 25 Great Grandchildren; and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren; and siblings, Craig Lee (Virgie) Bennett, Ronald Page (Janice) Bennett, Barry Reed (Michele) Bennett and Sheila Bennett (Charles) Tubbs. She is preceded in death by her parents; Clifton Lee and Clara Belle Bennett; husband, Charles D. Smith, Sr.; and sibling, Jerry Maxwell Bennett. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Shane Ogle officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande.

Family will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Jack Smith. Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the care of Selma Funeral Home.
