Ann Mosley Walker (1932-2022)

Ann Mosley Walker died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, close to one month after celebrating her 90th birthday. Ann was born in Peterman,  on January 22, 1932, to John and Mattie Lee (Dees) Mosley and was the oldest of two children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend O. Paul Walker, and parents. She is survived by her two daughters, Leigh Ann Walker and Laura Walker Young (Walt); sister, Dot Klepac; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Snider (Seth) and Holley Young; and two great-grandchildren, Finley and Bobby Snider. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville, Ala., on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 1 p.m. Graveside service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at Rumbley Cemetery in Peterman. Pallbearers will be John Scott Hixon, David Jones, John Klepac, Brooks Schoel, Seth Snider and Walt Young. “Annie,” as she was affectionately known, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and was a devout follower of Christ. She was a graduate of the University of Montevallo and went on to become a guidance counselor for Meadowview Christian School, where she touched many lives over her long career. In 2005, she was named to the AISA Hall of Fame for her work. As an avid reader, she could always be found with a book in her hand. She enjoyed genealogical research and was a great storyteller of family history. She was loved dearly by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meadowview Christian School or your favorite charity.
