The Selma High girls basketball team will take a Top 10 ranking into the Area Tournament next week.

The Lady Saints (13-2) are ranked sixth in the Class 5A girls basketball poll for a third straight week.

Southside boys and girls teams, which were ranked 10th in 3A last week, fell out of the poll and both were nominated.

Both Morgan Academy basketball teams were nominated.

Selma High girl basketball players are: Alexias Walker, Tamereya Snow, Makahia Tolbert, Jamiria Jackson, Zariah McCall, Sarryah Pope, Maraisha Rivers, Kaniyah Woods, Dereka Williams, Jaleereya Garrett, Jykerria Oliver and Rod’Neisha Parker.

The Lady Saints are coached by Wil Morgan.
