The Dallas County Democratic Executive Committee announced that the deadline to qualify for Dallas County Elections is  at the close of business on Friday.

Candidates qualifying must file by 5 p.m. Friday at office of Thomas Accounting on 1600 Broad Street.

The positions are: Dallas County Sheriff, Dallas County Coroner, Dallas County School Board District 1 and Dallas County School Board District 4 and Dallas County Democratic Executive Committee Members.

The Dallas County District Court Judge, Dallas County District Attorney and Dallas County Circuit Court Judge are also up for election, but these positions must get filed with the Alabama Democratic Office in Montgomery.

Mike Granthum is the Dallas County Sheriff. Alan Dailey is currently the Coroner. Michael Jackson is the Dallas County District Attorney.
