Selma City Schools begin first part of 2022 with remote learning days for students

Selma City Schools will spend the first week of January  in remote learning.

SCS officials made the announcement on Tuesday.

Schools in Selma resumed Wednesday, with Thursday and Friday all in remote learning.

SCS officials announced that In-person learning will start, Monday, January 10.

Grab-n-Go Meals (breakfast & lunch) will be available from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Scholars can go to their school or the school nearest to them for meals.

Weekly COVID testing for employees and scholars, offered in partnership with UAB School of Public Health, will be held on Thursday.

Here is the COVID-19 Testing Schedule for Selma City Schools Scholars and Employees:

-Edgewood Elementary 8-9:a.m.

– School of Discovery 8:30-10:30 a.m.

– Meadowview Elementary School  9- 11 a.m.

-Alternative Learning Center 9:30-10:30 a.m.

– Sophia P. Kingston Elementary 10-11 a.m.

– Payne Elementary 10:30-12:30 p.m.

-Clark Elementary Noon-2 p.m.

-Selma High School 12:30-1:30 p.m.

-R.B. Hudson STEAM Academy 1-2 p.m..
