The City of Valley Grande put together a holiday event last weekend.

Santa Claus, the Grinch and elves arrived on a fire truck and stopped by the Valley Grande Walking Trail on Sunday afternoon.

Kids who attended took photos with Santa, the Grinch and the elves.

The two-hour event was put together by Valley Grande Councilwoman Sara Day, who’s in charge of Walking Trail and Community Events. Day was grateful that the weather cooperated.

“Mother nature was on our side,” Day said.

Valley Grande Mayor Wayne Labbe said he was glad that the residents enjoyed it.

City Councilwoman Kay Davidson said the community enjoyed the event.

“Everybody I talked to said they enjoyed it,” Davidson said. “Thanks to everyone involved for helping make this event so special.’’
